35 years in the game as a wedding photogpraher with ever changing gear over the years and I am still yet to find a good way to carry our gear and we take the absolute bare minimum. 2 Instax Mini's and a torch!!!. Seriously I have got our kits to the absolute "couldn't carry less' but still haven't found a suitable solution for us

Do you have the internal measurements of the shoulder bag, as well as the side zippers of the backpack? I want to see if these can easily store my X-S20 with my sennheiser shotgun mic attached (7” X 7” X 7”total)

The production cycle of the trinity lenses is at least 10years. Stupid to think if it's worth it or not.

I have a RP and many of the good things said about the R8 apply to it. I considered the R8 but bought another option. I shoot a lot af manual focus lenses and I am old, gimbals are not free and do add weight so my new purchase has ibis. Ibis opened a lot of possibilities for me and was a step up in the number of "keepers" for me. As a counter to the R8 I would buy a used RP and get a body with ibis and two card slots. I would love a R8 but we all have goals and budgets that have to be met. With new price on the R8 it would be a stronger contender at the time I bought and I do love the menu system, ergonomics and its weight.

Solid tips. Agree layering can be challenging. I thought layering entailed inclusion of several interesting subjects, all in focus, at different distances from camera. The subjects should be doing similar or complimentary things. No? For instance, at an ethnic dance performance where there’s a parent preparing a child to perform and another parent doing likewise a bit deeper into the composition. Both sets of subjects doing something complimentary. Difficult to explain but recognizable. No dog cameo in this one?😢 Cheers!

I would prefer doing the same shots side by side for comparison... Also straight out of camera (with best setting) and then after postprocessing... My guess is that in many shots people would not be able to tell which camera made which picture without pixelpeeping.

I've been editing for years, and this my friend has got to be one of the best editing videos I've ever seen! Not only was the film look editing spot on, but I also learned something new in the curves (S-curve) with the colors which natural makes my cameras colors pop without breaking the image. Thank you so much for this video!

Thanks for this excellent review of the Shimoda Explore V2, TK! I'm considering the 30L, and was wondering if you tried it with the Large Camera Cube? Reason I ask is that I have a rather long (12.5") NIkkor Z 180-600 f/5.6-6.3) lens, which I think would be too long for the medium cube included with the backpack. Would you know how the large cube would fit into this 30L size? Thank you!

I personally think that this is the best prime lens ever made. It is my workhorse. I shoot 75% or more of my shots with it. It is just truly fantastic. Editing seems easy and that is because I don't have to make much adjustments because the pictures just look great. It renders so well. This is my favourite lens.

I got this lens to shoot bears a d wildlife. I do have the 2.8 70-200 also rf mount for vmcanon r6 mark11

Just back from 4 weeks in UK, Spain and Portugal. Had 2 primes to go with the R6: 28mm f2.8 and 50mm f1.8. If I’m honest I think I would have preferred a 24-70 or 24-105 zoom as I seemed to constantly be changing lenses. Took the Peak Design 6L slung you recommended and it’s definitely a winner - perfect. Thanks as always.

I like the zoom effect. I do a lot of rotating shots instead or in addition where you hold the picture steady a bit for a moment before and/or after rotating or zooming in and/or out from where you were. You have to like things to be a bit more abstract. But that’s me. I prefer to often struggle or find it impossible for one to decipher what the original subject was. I care more about the visual aesthetics.

Aperture priority is great when lighting is generally static and isn’t changing rapidly. I generally shoot Av, but jump to manual if I’m shooting sports or shows. Never use spot metering or AE Lock, it’s always been convoluted tech. If you’re gonna put in all that effort to focus and recompose just for exposure, you might as well just shoot manual.

Will wait for the internal zoom version and the old ef 3 version is sharper in the corners plus u can't use a tele when u need it for sports or wildlife.

Does the PD strap clip not bother you/make you feel unbalanced when walking with the camera on it? I l love the idea but I feel like one shoulder gets more stressed and tired when I use it.
